We spend so much time and energy on work; all of us want that effort to be meaningful. Sometimes we may question whether our work is truly what we are meant to do, and our work may feel separate from our spiritual lives. The more dissatisfying we find work, the more tempting it is to […]
Many are dissatisfied with the current economic system. We hear a lot about the 1% versus the 99%, and the contrast between the vast wealth of a relatively few people and the extreme poverty we see in so many places is disturbing. Gratitude has become one of the most commonly recommended forms of self care and while I, like many others, have heard about gratitude journals, gratitude stones, and daily gratitude practices for years, I didn’t really believe it would work until I experienced it for myself. Do you ever feel as if you’re trapped within your life, constrained by circumstances and unable to achieve the true freedom that you desire? Do you sometimes feel overwhelmed, trying to muster up options you could take, only to assess none of them are practical and there is simply nothing rational that you can do […]
