5. Don’t Settle for Anything Short of Your Dream Job.
How many people do you know who are not just appeased but enthralled with the career they’ve chosen a year after the first rush of the early days of joining a staff? Go ahead. Count them. Be honest when computing that number and then ask yourself for the real answer as it applies to your aspirations.
Don’t settle for “not bad.” All it takes to hand you a ticket to the best career ride on the planet is an injection of self-knowing and reflection — to hold the sign that reads, “I never knew what it was like to work without feeling joyous about everything I accomplished and even things I didn’t!”
Feel your power. Stretch your boundaries. Stick every failure into your “lessons learned” bank. Don’t be surprised if you turn into a role model for others with big dreams who don’t realize that they, too, can possess your courage and wisdom! When you find your true calling, your contagious energy will not only impact the lives of others and but it can change the world. 🙂
