Waking up to Your Best Flow
It’s early morning. The house is quiet. As your eyes open, thoughts race through your mind about what the day has in store. From the peaceful harbor of dreaming, you are brought to attention as the familiar recollections of laundry lists, work meetings, and activities of the day overtake you. Exhausted, you gather strength and launch yourself out of bed and into the first task at hand.
Sound familiar?
It is easy to become a prisoner to the routine that life hands us. But we want more. We need to go deeper. Many have experienced the rush of inspiration that a deeper “flow” can bring. Once you have experienced that rush, it is hard to forget how it feels. Have you ever experienced a Synchronicity– a mysterious coincidence that seems to call you to your greater destiny? Have you been part of a serendipitous moment that suddenly injects you with Vision and Purpose? Close your eyes and try to remember one of those moments. Remember what it felt like.
Now I ask you this: Is it possible to calm our minds enough to keep ourselves watchful for these exciting opportunities?
There are things in life that hold us back. Our egos use defenses to help us feel safe and important. This constant chatter becomes a tape loop that plays in our heads, effectively keeping us distracted in a futile attempt to feel Peace outside of Spiritual Connection. So what can we do?
First, I recommend waking early enough to experience the peace that the morning can bring. This could mean waking before your spouse, partner or children. Take some time to center before you set out. Start a routine of mindfulness, listening to your heart. Think of the questions or problems that need answering. Prayerfully affirm that you will find these answers, feeling a sense of Gratitude in advance. Vow to stay awake and alert to the information coming in, and always make sure that you pursue even the slightest hint of Synchronicity!
I promise you; it can change your life.
