How Synchronicity Can Work For You
EXPLORATION PHASE
After soundly meditating on it, the priority is to not get distracted. Take the action indicated by the intuition.
When I was searching for a publisher for the Celestine Prophecy, I pondered the question: is creating a publishing company myself the best way to release my book to the public? What came to me, instinctively, was to call some small publishers in my town and see if someone might give me the secret on how to get started correctly. I considered this a long shot, but why not?
So I looked up local publishers in the yellow pages and chose the one that caught my eye. Surprisingly, when I called, the owner was happy to talk to me, and not to sell me on his company, but to help me in general. His suggestion was to contact an advertising firm, owned by a friend of his. When I pressed him for an explanation as to why, he seemed to have none, yet I still called his friend. At first, the lady said they were set up to assist me, but only after I had the book published.
At this point, impatience almost led me to quit this line of exploration entirely. Fortunately, I managed to remember what my original question was and just blurted it out, “Do you know anyone who has information on how to publish a book?” There was a pause, and then the woman told me she knew of a man who had recently moved to town and had purchased a bookstore. His main interest was helping people design and publish their writing.
When I talked to the owner of the bookstore, I realized the Synchronicity in this conversation. It turned out that he had formerly worked for a major New York publisher, and knew all the details we needed. He was familiar with creating a cover, a book, and making a deal with a printer. Most importantly, he knew how to secure a distributor for CP. Four months later, our very own publishing company for the original Celestine Prophecy was born, and the book was on its way to the bookstores.
This same Synchronistic process has happened countless times in my life, and it can in yours too. You can honestly see it resembles a detective story, unfolding into your destiny. You have to explore various avenues with a type of “follow-up” intuition, mixed with the help from your logical, rational side. If you do not have a full understanding of what moves to make, then do the first thing that pops into your mind. Whether your reasonable self agrees entirely or not (as long as you believe it’s safe and correct for you).
Most intuitive hunches will usually be inconvenient, but find a way to follow your intuition as quickly as you can. This is especially important if your instinct was to call a particular person from your past for answers to your questions. How incredible is it when you think to call an old friend and hear, “I was just thinking of you.”
My point is that some of the most valuable Synchronicities take some digging into, so follow the intuitive leads as deeply as they can go. This is one of the prime secrets of keeping a constant flow of “Mysterious Coincidences” in your life. When you decide which issue is most present for you each morning, you find yourself guided to profound answers and to resolving your challenges. A Synchronistic event can be information leading you to an opportunity made possible or a dead end and complete change in direction. Both occurrences are meant to guide your life and serve your destined path. So continue to stay inspired and to keep the feeling of “destiny unfolding” around you as you proceed, even if you feel let down by the experience.
