DISCOVER A MORE INSPIRED LIFE
If you have read the Celestine Prophecy Series of books — or, have followed my articles on Celestinevision.com — you know that I believe the spiritual journey leads to an enhanced life. You might think such an adventure is complicated. It’s not. In fact, when viewed as a sequence of personal discoveries, it seems very natural, as if our brains are wired to do it.
Below is a clear guide to getting you started.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Before you begin, remember that to discover an Authentic Spirituality, you must seriously knock on the door of your heart– which means you have to suspend your doubts long enough to test the ideas I’m suggesting.
I have argued for many years that a deeper spiritual experience is possible for each of us, but only if we sincerely seek it. And I’m NOT talking about merely deciding to “believe” in the abstract. A tendency to believe, (perhaps to hedge your bets,) is only the beginning.
What counts is learning to discover the actual “experiences” of spirituality — for yourself. That’s when the evidence will begin to impact you
There really IS a sense of “peace” available to you; you CAN find a life-flow characterized by guiding intuitions that lead you to life-changing opportunities; (Synchronicity) You WILL discover a sense of personal mission calling you.
Just realize that authentic spiritual experience is a set of perceptions that come into your consciousness from within, like a download that enlarges you. It feels like a new “centeredness,” as if the rest of your intelligence and emotional stability is being given to you — especially if you seek to give it to others.
But I get ahead of myself. The following is a proven way to find your own spiritual connection. Start with this meditation.
CONTEMPLATE PEACE AND REAL LOVE
I know, this sounds like a recently discovered Beatles’ song, but it works. Create a daily routine of sitting down, closing your eyes, and seeking to feel love, even if you have to ‘fake it until you make it.”
In other words, feel love by remembering all the times you have felt it in the past. For instance, think of your first romantic love, or love for a child or parent or a treasured pet. But this time, try to feel love in a general way, so love becomes a primary emotional state, not requiring an object at all.
Next, and this is key, try to separate yourself from all other thoughts and emotions. Assume the detached observer position, and note, but then let go of, everything else that enters you mind. If you find you have been swept away into the past or future for a moment, merely come back to the present and focus on love again.
If you make this kind of mindfulness meditation a “prayer” for Connection, you will indeed begin to feel your heart downloading Divine Love. And then, when negative emotions threaten to overwhelm you, it will be easier to let them go and return to this detached observer place, where love centers and stabilizes you in all situations.
Best of all, practicing “being the observer” allows you to stay alert and notice the other key experiences that are also trying to download.
DISCOVER YOUR INTUITIVE GUIDANCE
As your perception increases, you will notice certain urges, hunches, or ideas that are gently inspiring you to “do” something. This is your higher, guiding intuition coming into your mind.
Don’t worry, these higher urges can easily be distinguished from your ego distractions, which lead you to chase sugar treats, romantic flings, addictions, and the like. Such coping devices are tape loop ideas that always come with a tinge of guilt. (Your soul knows they are only there to pacify you against the angst that comes from disconnection)
You stay on the right path because genuine “intuitive guidance” has a feeling of “inspiration” associated with it, as though it is leading you somewhere important. Sometimes intuitions feel practical — such as remembering that you haven’t talked to an old friend in a while, or thinking it’s time to check in with a client. That’s because your guiding intuition seeks to make your life flow easier at all levels: work, relationships, health and beyond.
At other times, however, your intuitions will be powerful and dramatic, such as when you know, somehow, to go to a bookshop, and then you find a book, or another person, whose ideas change your life.
The key is to clarify the meaning of the intuition by asking yourself, “Why did I feel this urge now?” Then look for its meaning in the questions you have about your life. Where are you going? Where do you want to go? Intuitions always suggest whom to talk to, or a place to go, that will provide the answers.
Always follow the urge or idea the best you can, as soon as you can. Just remember to explore your Intuition logically and stay alert to what happens when you do.
