The Path Forward — Accelerating Spiritual Growth
Finding Authentic Spiritual Experience
I’ve called this new, more fulfilling life: “Authentic Spiritual Experience.” And it is this experience we want to discover fully. In fact, many of us have already glimpsed most of these experiences.
For instance, who hasn’t momentarily felt a sudden connection with Divine Intelligence within, that brings us a transformative love, peace, and inner security — no matter what else is occurring?
And who hasn’t suddenly experienced an inner urge, gut feeling, or spontaneous idea that turned out to be a “guiding intuition” that mysteriously helped in some way?
And how many people have never been amazed by a meaningful coincidence or “Synchronicity” at some point in their lives — one that brought them important information at exactly the right time to “change their lives?”
Further, what about the “sense of calling” that so many of us experience that makes us certain that we are here in this life to do something important, if we could just figure out what it is?
These are just a few of the experiences that — once we learn how to expand and maintain them – will create the next worldview. What is certain is that each of us must personally integrate this spiritual reality into our daily existence. When enough of us do, this worldview will fully come into being.
A New Understanding: Accelerating Spiritual Growth
At one level, to live spiritually means living what I have called the Twelve Insights. But in order to integrate them completely, we must move fully into an accelerated, and super satisfying, experience of Personal Growth. This is something we have sensed for a long time. The difference at this historical moment is that the chaos in the world has increased to the point where we know it has to be done now. And the catalyst is that two very large generations are poised to understand growth together.
When we begin to act consciously and personally — tuning in with spiritual people everywhere — our lives light up, and we discover a new energy. There are many more people seeking the spiritual life that are mired in the chaos. It is time.
Envisioning a “Super Fast” Growth Path
Fortunately, we understand the process of growth as never before. Think of Growth as the journey into our best selves – a journey that is already being experienced spontaneously by more and more people. The exciting part is that our understanding of Spiritual Growth is eminently provable to ourselves.
Here are the ways I believe we are moving into “Accelerated Growth.”
1. Avoiding the Chaos
First, we are staying out of the chaos. This is hard. There are so many political movements, and religious ideologies, that are being offered as a way forward. The common denominator is that they all are claiming to be the only way to save ourselves and the world. Yet, because we are staying more awake, we can immediately see that most are superficial.
They don’t acknowledge our spiritual nature, and the importance of truth, honesty, and the positive karma of “acting in the best interest of others.” They miss the synchronicity and intuitions that are there to guide us toward an easier, and more extraordinary life. They smack of too much ego inflation.
2. Finding Inner Security
Another important way we are accelerating our Growth lies in our sense of inner security. We are creating a spiritual “base of security” from which to accelerate our Growth. Basing our security on others, especially through romantic relationships, causes severe needs and conflicts in our lives.
The only true security comes from an experience of Spiritual Connection, and we are seeking that connection with a more powerful intention together.
We know all the well-known methods of Connection with “God’s intelligence within us,” works. You know the favorites: meditation, prayer, reading scriptures and inspirational books, seeking intuitive solutions and receiving them. Also, we know that when we open up to the feeling of this Connection — transcendent love and security, then seek to share it with others – it grows in us first, as it then flows out to the people with whom we cross paths.
