5 Ways Spirituality Will Enhance Your Life
3. AN AWARENESS OF KARMIC DESIGN
One of the most surprising of Spiritual realities is that we can comprehend, and then prove Karmic Design – the idea that “what goes around comes around”- in our very own lives. It is not a new notion that the world may be governed by hidden laws of karma. But, like other spiritual experiences, it is one that is hard to believe in and accept on pure faith. Our materialistic science tells us the world is meaningless and blind, so we can do whatever we want, as long as we keep it secret.
I am again suggesting that the existence of karma, which brings consequences (whether secret or not), can be proven to oneself just by being observant of one’s life. Why mess up a convenient ignorance? Because when the object is to live the best, most fortunate and fulfilling life possible, it makes sense to evaluate which behaviors and attitudes the karmic design might favor and those it discourages. Once you start looking, it usually does not take very long to find out.
First, the design will interpret that the universe is set up as a Spiritual platform for human growth and development, (something I think you will also confirm). Over the millennia, this evolution has moved us from ignorance toward an increasing knowledge concerning our true human condition. All in the direction of its ultimate goal: full Spiritual awareness and inner connection with the divine source of it all.
Each generation has, in its way, contributed haphazardly to this progression. We have now reached a crucial crossroads in our march toward unity. One where we can grasp how the metaphysical program has been working all of these years, and how it works presently. We can then use this realization to move more into alignment with this Karmic Design. Therefore, allowing us to engage in Spiritual transformation more consciously, as well as having a greater life.
I sense you will discover that this design works in the manner of achieving good karma and all that can be gained from it (basic good luck, prosperity, spiritual intelligence, etc.). It comes directly through helping others, but I do not mean by acting irresponsibly and giving away the store, or enabling bad habits. I’m suggesting that we continually act in ways that we sincerely believe is in the best interests of other people. We do this by telling them the best truth or Intuition we have to offer, even if it is a hard truth. And overall, living life as if the effect we have on others is to lead them to operate just like us.
How is that possible? We are very much contagious to others in a real way, just like in childhood when children emulate their parents. That process does not end at adulthood. We should realize we have a modeling effect on others and hence act accordingly. Anything less is to not behave in another person’s best interest. Of equal concern, is the specific Synchronistic message we might have for someone else. The idea is to listen Intuitively until we have a notion of something we can say or do, and ultimately this provides a meaningful coincidence for another. Remember, our faculty of Intuition is there to give us information from a higher intelligence within us. This information is not just for us, but it is for others as well. Thus, we can have the experience of being given a particular truth, or a bit of knowledge, which might miraculously help someone.
To the other person, these moments seem like any other typical Synchronicity. One that arrives in their life, at precisely the right time, in a fateful moment. They believe they are on track and making progress on what feels like a destined life journey. For this conscious effort, we are karmically rewarded in a particular way. When we act only in others’ best interest and strive to be a Synchronicity for them, we start to experience more people acting in that same way toward us. From here, we begin to have more frequent Synchronicities ourselves! The karmic activator appears to be “like attracts like,” showing us that if we help others we, in turn, gain more people into our lives who help us!
Everyone’s life flows forward with ease and a greater sense of progress when regarding our ultimate, evolutionary contribution. Not a bad system for a world created to grow and evolve toward greater Spiritual awareness and unity. If we could wave a magic wand and everyone would suddenly act in this manner, I think anyone could see that the world would instantly change for the better. So what happens when we move in some other way? Not giving, but taking from others – such as manipulating or lying for personal gain, or otherwise acting toward people in a way that is not beneficial. Again, like attracts like. Lie, and you will be lied to. Steal, and you will be stolen from. Develop a style of power tripping, status seeking, manipulating in any way, and we will find ourselves drawing in others with the same misleading behavior.
In my early career, I worked in a therapeutic situation with a wide range of people. I found it laughable at how many clients defended their manipulating behaviors toward others. This was notably true of those who steal in one way or another, especially in “cutting corners” at work. “Everyone does it” they would say, or “It’s a tough world out there and everyone has to think of themselves first.”
I could only reply that, in fact, everyone does not act this way. It was only those in the company they kept that they identified with having their similar conduct. Is this system set up as a type of punishment? I do not believe so. I think it is set up this way so we can feel the harm our behavior does unto others and influence a change within us. So when we see someone behaving negative towards us, and realize that it is the same tendencies we have, it is an opportunity to redirect ourselves in making truth and helpfulness a priority.
I am not saying everything that is challenging comes to us because of a karmic response. Each person’s experiences will reveal that some events come from the imperfections still in this world at every level, not necessarily because of any bad karma on one’s part.
Pure accidents still happen. Although, as we come into the proper alignment with this design and grow in our intuitive intelligence, I believe we also discover that we are given ways to avoid even these particular events. We can discern that certain intuitions are, in fact, premonitions. They are to guide us out of harm’s way at just the right moment and move us more fully into a “state of protection,” promised by so many sacred scriptures.
I would also like to mention “TITHING” here. It seems as though, the effects strictly follow the principals of a Karmic Design based on giving. In most sacred texts, tithing is emphasized to be the amount of money that should be used to push forth Spirituality evolution in some way – as best as we might know how to do that. In most religions, this set amount is from 3 to 10 percent of our income. Most people have never tried tithing because 10 percent is often large enough to be a car payment or a vacation. And, again, because of our mindset on the idea of the universe being meaningless, most still think it could not possibly work, right? But, this has to be tested by each of us. No other technique, in my opinion, can show a more dramatic result. As a general principal, when you give, you get. So, when you pay attention to your thoughts and Synchronicity, you will sense a clear Intuition to give to an institution or a person at just the right moment.
You will often observe that the money you give, when following an Intuition to do so, almost always becomes someone’s miracle. In turn, it quickly pays off in a Synchronistic flow of money back to you. Just do it and see what happens. You will see that if you act in harmony with the little things, you will gain even more powers with which to affect the world positively.
